The Happiness Project: Week Thirty One

I fell down the stairs today.  It was a stupid thing to do, but now I'm achy and sad, which I guess is the perfect time to reflect on those moments in this last week which have been more cheerful.  :)

Monday - This won't come as a surprise to any of you who read this blog on the regular, but the happiest moment of last Monday came when my laptop turned back on again. I may have screamed a little, and danced for joy. It was a good moment.

Tuesday - Visiting my Grandmother after work. We chatted about London, both my past adventures, and her futures ones. If I'm having as many awesome adventures as she is when I'm her age, I'm gonna be a very happy lady!!

Oh, and on my way home, I spotted the most vibrant rainbow I've ever seen!

Wednesday - Crafting after work. I don't get round to much crafting these days, so it made my heart happy to play with glitter and stamps. :)

Thursday - A cheeky purchase for myself. In among the Christmas shopping (in August obviously..), I picked up the first of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple novels. Who doesn't love that new book smell..!?

Friday - After an 8 day stint at work, I was very very happy to have reached Friday! We celebrated with a date to the cinema to see The Guardians of The Galaxy, which is a very silly film about a rag tag team of misfits who band together to save the world. Oh, and Chris Pratt looks pretty good with his top off. Jus sayin.

Saturday - Adventures with my mister. An actual proper Saturday, done the way Saturdays should be. A decedent brunch at the Velo Lounge, followed by a trip around town. We did some sale shopping, nosed round the Saturday markets, and popped into a new favorite,  Toppings, one of the most magical book shops I've ever been too. I don't know what it is about that place, but it just had an ambiance that made me very happy. :)

Cinnamon Nutella French Toast. Yuuum.

Sunday - Right now, I'm curled up on the sofa, under a blanket, watching Sherlock,  having a proper lazy Sunday. This is the weekend I was dreaming of when I battled through those long days at the shop.

How have your weeks been my lovelies? :)

Much Love,
Jess

  1. Oh my that cinnamon nutella french toast looks amazing - cute little spot too! Last week was a bit of up and down - great couple of days away met with a hotel getting our booking details wrong and me getting sunstroke again. Ah life!

  2. Mmm brunch looks great! I've really gotten into the Nutella lately. I sat down the other week and watched ALL the Sherlock haha! Last week was slow, but I did make some homemade clotted cream and scones... only to realise there was no jam.
