The Happiness Project: Week Twenty Four

Twenty Four weeks!? Wowza. Where has the time gone!!

Monday - Pizza at work. I worked 6 days last week, so to say I had peaked would be an understatement, but some colleagues and I decided to share a pizza from The Real Italian Pizza Company at lunch time, and it totally revived me! Its funny how the smallest change from your normal routine can be so refreshing. (oh, and I really can't rate the pizza co. highly enough. Perhaps it was because I was starving, but that pizza was delicious!)

Tuesday - I headed into town early, so I could test ride the beautiful Bobbin Metropole before work (she's a real beaut, but I think they've sold out of the color I want - SadFace!). I ended up with some time to kill, so I got myself a pot of tea and sat with a book in the sunshine outside Jacobs. It was graduation day in town, and as Jacobs is right next to The Abbey, where the graduations happen, there were kids in robes all over the place. It took me straight back to my own graduation, I can't believe how fast that time's gone!

Wednesday - Sunshine over the Strawberry fields with my beautiful sisters. But more on that next week. :)

Thursday - Work sent me on a training course to Dartmoor, and it was beautiful!

Friday - Dartmoor pt 2: I popped outside at about 9, to discover three horse just chilling outside my tent! It was such a surreal experience!

 spot the tent!

Saturday - Heading home from Dartmoor, I got a train from Bristol, and whilst waiting on the platform a little boy walked past with a bubble gun. There was something so beautiful about the contrast between the stark urban architecture of the station and the soft floating bubbles. And the knowledge that this was something that I would never be able to capture with my camera (partly because I don't have the skills, and partly because my camera was at home..) made it even more magical. Sometimes its important to just enjoy a moment, rather than stress about capturing the perfect photo.

Sunday - An chilled evening with my mister. We caught up on George Clarke's Amazing Spaces, and I spent the rest of the evening dreaming of owning a VW camper. sigh.

Hope you're all grand my lovelies. :)

Much Love,
Jess

  1. Dartmoor is one of my favourite places. I've yet to camp there but I can't wait until I do!

    1. Its such a beautiful place! It felt so good just to get away from everything and into the wild for a couple of days! Definitely hoping to get back there before the summer is over. J x
