The Happiness Project: Week Twenty Two

I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty certain this has been the warmest week of the year so far, and I have absolutely been making the most of it. There's nothing like being stuck inside at work, staring at the sun, to make you really appreciate the time you do get to spend outside.

Monday - I got a parking space actually near town for work!  Such a good start to the day. Sometimes you've just gotta celebrate the little things, ya know. :)

Tuesday - Game of thrones with my favorite man. When we watched the first series all that time ago,  we binged the whole thing in about 3 days (oh student life), and now waiting a whole week for a new episode seems like such a drag. So we promised to wait till the whole thing was out before we would watch it. And the finale finally aired.  Oh how I've missed the adventures of Westeros!

Wednesday - Impromptu cinema trip with the boy and some of his mates. I've not been to the cinema in forevvvver (drinking cider in the park beforehand definitely didn't help with the flash back to my teenage years). We saw 22 jump street, and it was hilarious. It was so aware of status as a sequel, and totally embraced the similarities between the plots. Yay for Orange Wednesdays.

Thursday - I popped over to my Aunts place before work to let her puppy out for a few minuets. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and his boundless energy was contagious. I can't think of a better way to begin a long day at work.

Friday - Determined not to spend all afternoon indoors, my mister and I went on a thoroughly middle aged date to the garden center. We went for the fish (him) and the bunnies (me) but were totally distracted by the awesome grocery store they had. So much choice for local produce, and everything was so beautifully presented (I'm a sucker for nice packaging..). They've also got a sweet cafe upstairs, and whilst we didn't eat there that day, I've heard good things about it.

Saturday - Lunch break strawberries, which I munched in the park. They were my first strawberries of the year, and they were sweet and juicy, and the moment was lovely. :)

Sunday - So much alfresco dining, and everyone lingered a little after each meal, just to sit and enjoy the sun and the company, and it really was the best. The way Sundays should be. Weekend days off just make me the happiest.

What was your happiest moment this week?

Much Love
Jess
